Hi AC, it’s Britney!
I am so excited and honored to announce that I’m running to be your President for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 school year!
Being part of AC has truly been such an important part of my college experience. I’ve made so many amazing memories, met the best people, and learned so much, but most of all, AC has helped me rebuild my confidence and find myself again.
With the opportunity to be your Director of Internal Affairs, I got to work with an amazing board to put together fundraisers that helped support all of our events and activities. Getting to meet you all and seeing how much of a difference we could make together really motivated me to work even harder. But at the end of the day, none of it would’ve been possible without you guys– the ones showing up, helping out, and always supporting AC. I seriously can’t thank all of you enough.
I’m running for President because I want to keep being a part of something that means so much to me and hopefully continue inspiring and supporting others the way AC did for me. Our club is always evolving, and the future is bright! I promise that I will always give my best to ensure we all have a wonderful Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 school year!
So much love ⋆ ̊✿˖°,

Aalia Meer
Aloha AC,
My name is Aalia Meer and I am running to be your next President. I am currently a Junior pursuing a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems, and minoring in Psychology. I have been with this club since my Freshman year, and I am thankful for all of the experiences I’ve had since. Through this club, I’ve met mentors and friends who have shaped me into who I am today—pushing me to pursue excellence while also reminding me to have fun. I look back on the past five semesters, coming on six, as unforgettable, irreplaceable memories that motivate me to give back to the Accounting Club to the best of my abilities.
I have used my experiences as Director of Public Relations and Director of Professional Development as opportunities to continue my growth as a leader and understand everything there is to know about AC. I have also served other leadership positions outside of the club, including supervisory positions at my job with the School of Accountancy and chair positions in other Shidler clubs. Because of my diverse background, I have vast experience in areas the President is expected to excel in: small and large-scale event coordination; communication between AC and other student-led organizations, faculty, professionals, and non-profit organizations; and recruitment. No matter what EB position I held, AC has always been a priority that requires full commitment of my time and talents – and this is the attitude I carry with me moving onto the President position.
I believe in the value our club provides—offering both accounting and non-accounting students opportunities for professional development, community engagement, meaningful connections, and more.I am confident that everything I have learned and done up until this point have prepared me to be a dependable and organized person to take on the responsibilities to be President.
If elected to be your next President, I will be a leader that the Executive Board and general members can depend on. I hope to lead this club to be the best it can be, with members that are proud to be part of the club and excited about future events. Throughout the upcoming year, there will be a lot of opportunities for me to grow into the position and its responsibilities, along with a lot of challenges. But like these past few years have taught me, I will be prepared and ready, no matter how difficult.
With confidence and AC pride, I intend on making each member’s time with the club as rewarding as mine has been, and I am excited to serve you all on board once again!
Sincerely,
Aalia Meer
