CAN I STILL JOIN IF I AM NOT AN ACCOUNTING MAJOR?

Yes! Accounting Club is open to students from all academic disciplines. In the past, we have had members that were majoring in marketing, history, education, etc.




DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR EVENTS AND DINNERS THAT I ATTEND?

Yes, certain events require payment prior and must be paid to the Executive Board. Please visit our Membership page for more information regarding payment instructions. Please also keep up with your emails for dues and deadlines. Examples of some events that require payment include: HAPA Night and Aloha Banquet.

***Dinners at general meetings and events are included in the membership fee. There is no need to pay.

 

IS ACTIVE STATUS REQUIRED?

No, Active Status is not required to be a member; however, It’s highly encouraged to be an active member to make the most out of your membership. Come out to any event when you can.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY SCHEDULE CONFLICTS WITH GENERAL MEETINGS OR MANDATORY EVENT DAYS?

Members who cannot attend weekly meetings or mandatory events due to class or work must attend additional events to make up for their absence. Depending on the significance of a missed event, one or two make-ups may be required to fulfill the missing requisite. For more information check our Membership page and look under the “Waivers” section. It is recommended to plan ahead by checking our calendar page .

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR EVENTS?

General Meetings: General meetings do not have a specific dress code. Casual wear is allowed but please come dressed appropriately.

Business Events: Business events can be either Business Casual or Business Professional. Please keep in mind that a majority of Business Events only require Business Casual outfits. Information about event outfit requirements will be addressed over email by the Director of Professional Development.

Volunteer Events: Since many volunteer events require manual labor it is highly recommended that you come prepared in active, comfortable clothing.

Social Events: There is no specific dress code. However, please come dressed appropriately.
