Hey AC!
My name is Andrew Higa and I will be running to be your next Director of Student Relations for the Spring ‘24 semester.
The biggest reason I’ve decided to run for this position was to give back to our members. When I first joined AC, I only knew a couple of people before joining. It was through socials that I was able to make friends within the club, and surprisingly, what convinced me to study accounting, was through the advice of everyone in the club.
If chosen, I will do my absolute best to give the same experiences I had when I was a new member, to the new incoming members of next semester, as well as create new ones for everyone else returning.

I’m thrilled to announce my candidacy for Director of Student Relations! Since joining the Accounting Club this past semester, I've genuinely enjoyed every moment—from events to meeting fellow members who share similar goals. Currently a junior majoring in Accounting with an interest in specializing in Tax, I value the connections and opportunities this club offers.
My background in leadership and event planning is rooted in my role as a Resident Assistant, where I plan both large-scale campus events and smaller community gatherings. This experience has taught me the skills needed to create welcoming, engaging spaces for college students, and I’m confident these skills will help me serve you well as Director of Student Relations. As a naturally social and outgoing person, I aim to strengthen the sense of community in our club, making it a place where all members feel welcome and connected.
My primary goal as Director of Student Relations is to broaden the club’s social reach and foster an inclusive environment that encourages friendships and networking. The relationships I’ve formed here are invaluable, and I’m excited at the prospect of giving back by helping others enjoy the same positive experiences.
