Dylan Magbaleta
Hey AC!
I’m Dylan Magbaleta and I am running to be your next Director of Professional Development for the Accounting Club. I have been a proud member of AC for 5 semesters now with 4 semesters on the Executive Board and I’m hoping to dedicate myself to 1 more semester on board for AC.
Within my four semesters on the AC board, I have been Director of Student Relations, Director of Information Systems, as well as the Vice-President. Outside of AC I was also the Secretary for the International Student Association, where I was in charge of nearly all operations related to club communications. These positions have given me great experience in planning and executing large-scale events as well as an extensive range of communication skills, which is vital for planning Professional Development events. These different roles also give me the opportunity to offer my past experiences as advice for new board members to assist them in any way possible.
I hope to continue to give back to the club that has provided me with so much, with this upcoming semester focused on providing more opportunities for AC and its members to further enhance and enrich everyone’s experience in the club. AC is a loving community that I wish to help sustain by raising everyone to be the best they can be, both personally and professionally.
Thank you for your consideration,
Best Regards,
Dylan
Ethan Nacion
Greetings, Accounting Club members!
My name is Ethan Nacion, and I’m honored to be running for the position of Director of Professional Development. For those who may not know me, I am a Shidler direct-admit freshman, majoring in accounting with plans to double major in management information systems. Although I’m new to UH Manoa and to campus clubs, I believe my dedication and enthusiasm for professional growth make me a strong candidate for this role.
Since joining, I’ve been committed to engaging with professionals and attending office tours, immersing myself fully in the opportunities provided by this club. I’m also actively involved with Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), where, even in my first semester, I’ve attended more interactions than any other club member, and have the same amount of workshop visits as the next highest person. This commitment to professional development, alongside my connections within BAP, equips me well to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I have prior leadership experience from serving on the student council at Roosevelt, where I learned the importance of teamwork and dedication to my peers. My vision for the Accounting Club is to encourage every member to take full advantage of the opportunities available here. I plan to leverage what I’ve learned through BAP and my personal experiences with office tours to guide and support my fellow members. I know firsthand how valuable these resources are, and I’m eager to bring my dedication, time, and effort to serve this club as its next Director of Professional Development.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Ethan Nacion
