Greetings Accounting Club Members!
I am enthusiastically running for the position of next semester’s Director of Public Relations. I chose to run for this position as I have a passion for giving back to the community and believe that I can help to continue our club’s excellent reputation with the public through our service and volunteering efforts.
Giving back has always been a core value for me and, with community service being a key responsibility for this position, I am eager to apply my own dedication to help further establish the Accounting Club’s outreach and strengthen our relationships with those we serve in the community. Having volunteered with numerous organizations across Oahu, and even earning a Presidential Volunteer Service Award along the way, I believe that I will be able to use these experiences to identify and connect with the public in a manner that highlights our values and commitment to the community.
Ultimately, I believe the combination of my own unique work and life experiences has helped me to develop strong a background of service and organizational skills which will allow me, if elected for this position, to make a positive contribution to the Accounting Club family. I look forward to having the opportunity to serve you all!
Sincerely,
Abe

Aloha e Accounting Club Members!
My name is Angelina Blen, and I’m excited to run for Director of Public Relations. I’m a Junior pursuing a BBA in Accounting, and this is my first semester with the club. In this short time, I’ve gained valuable personal and professional growth, and I’d love the chance to give back by serving on the board to create those same opportunities for future members.
I have held leadership positions in various clubs, including canoe paddling, cheerleading, robotics, and the International Students Association (ISA). In addition, I have prior experience in organizing community engagement events such as food drives, fundraising auctions, beach clean-ups, and blood drives. I also serve as a combat medic in the Hawai’i Army National Guard, which has deepened my sense of duty to serve and support others.
As Director of Public Relations, I aim to provide a variety of community service opportunities to make it easier for everyone to get involved and give back, no matter their schedule or interests. The Accounting Club is an incredible resource for aspiring professionals and anyone who wants to become well-rounded and engaged in the community. I’d be honored to serve on the board and help strengthen this resource for all of us.
Mahalo,
Angelina Blen
Philip Luu
Hi Accounting Club Members!
My name is Philip Luu, and I’m very excited to be running for Director of Public Relations. I’ve been an Active member of the Accounting Club for five semesters, with my last semester spent as the club’s Internal Affairs Officer. I’m currently a senior majoring in accounting and finance, with a strong passion for accounting. Joining AC has been the most impactful part of my college experience, contributing greatly to my personal growth. I’m grateful for the experiences and connections I’ve gained here, and I’m committed to giving back to our members, hoping to make their college journey a little better. Witnessing AC’s growth and experiencing all their support made me realize that I wanted to serve as a board member again by running for Director of Public Relations for the upcoming semester.
As both a member and former board member, I’ve seen AC from multiple perspectives. I understand the hard work that goes into our events and the friendships that form from them. I value the positive impact AC has had on me, my fellow members, and the community. Looking back, I cherish the shared experiences that remind me of the importance of creating lasting memories beyond college. As a candidate for Director of Public Relations, I’m dedicated to giving back to both the community and our AC members. I believe the best way to give back is by genuinely enjoying the process—when you’re happy and having fun, it’s easier to help and support others. My familiarity with the club’s operations and my dedication to creating a positive, welcoming environment make me well-prepared for this role.
I want to give back to AC and our members by creating lasting memories, genuine connections, and lifelong friendships. My goal is for everyone to leave AC with great college memories, feeling supported and connected. I’m truly grateful for the chance to give back to AC and to contribute to everyone’s college journey.
Thank you so much,
Philip Luu
